Commercial Analyst

We are looking for a dedicated individual to perform the role of Commercial Analyst in our Aircraft Maintenance Department.

As a Commercial Analyst, you will be accountable for coordination of invoice payments, contract oversight, cost analysis, budget overview and vendor performance reporting across all aircraft External Maintenance activities to Jetstar Airways. The person will support the business with project initiatives such as data analytics on cost trending and identify opportunities for cost mitigation, leading to a sustained cost structure for aircraft maintenance activities.

Reporting to the Manager External Maintenance - Base, your main accountabilities will include:

• Establish cost tracking parameters to monitor OEM’s and Vendor suppliers’ escalations daily.
• Analyse cost trends and identify opportunities for cost mitigation initiatives.
• Creation of External Maintenance Budget with accurate projection and minimal variances against the actual cost to maintain an optimized budget to avoid affecting liquidity.
• Report monthly financials and establishing accruals for the finance department
• Provide and supply expenditure analysis to Finance team on a quarterly basis on cost data collated.
• Provide Full Year Financial Report to review on External HM Financial standings
• Commercial Oversight of External Base Maintenance to monitor OEMs, vendors’ and suppliers’ escalations
• Ensure contractual obligations are carried out in the best interests of Jetstar.
• Maintaining cost control in collaboration with Base Maintenance Managers and Technical Compliance Coordinators (project leaders)
• Support the manager to introduce automation for reports and procedures within the External Maintenance Base department.
• Support and maintain the PowerBI Dashboards such as BM Status and Financial Dashboards.
• Act with due care/consideration to safeguard own health and safety and that of others.
• Be fully conversant with and manage strict adherence to Group policy and procedures relating to contracts, legal obligations, standards of conduct, and remain compliant with Group Ethics and Standards.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills & experience:

• At least 1 years of relevant experience
• At least a Diploma or Bachelor in Business Administration or equivalent qualifications
• Exceptional communication skills, ability to play a strong support role in integrating Jetstar and Group stakeholders
• Experience and comfort working within a dynamic and fast paced team environment
• Must be able to think clearly, creatively and work independently under pressure, whilst being an effective team member
• Knowledge on accounting and cost analytics will be welcomed.
• Proven project management experience including strong discipline of prioritising and time management skills
• Proficient knowledge in using Microsoft office
• Advance knowledge in using Power BI
