As the Senior Procurement Manager in our Hotels and Holidays division, you will be responsible for working with senior level stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of Qantas Loyalty member needs and objectives, ensuring full alignment with Group strategies. You will lead the development and execution of long-term contracting partnerships with hotel chains and independent properties across different geographies, creating a competitive advantage that expands our content, improves margins, and strengthens our relationships with key suppliers.

Your role is to establish and manage strategic Supplier Relationship Management across our portfolio, driving performance, negotiating tactical rates, and ensuring we capture mutually beneficial partnerships that deliver value to members and the Group. You will conduct commercial analysis of all performance to identify new partnership opportunities and optimise our contracting and partnership strategy. Through this partnerships-first approach, you will support the Head of Hotels and Holidays in leading, coaching and developing the team to lift capability and maintain engagement across procurement and account management, driving a high-performance culture built on collaborative supplier relationships.

This role requires you to demonstrate the leadership qualities expected of a senior leader within the Group, balancing strategic vision with operational excellence.

You’ll have –

  • 10-15+ years’ experience in a senior commercial management, procurement, or partnership role within the airline, hotel or travel industry
  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Tourism, Hospitality or Tourism, or a related field is highly desirable
  • Commercial Negotiation: Expert-level negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable terms (margins, commissions, and value-adds) while maintaining strong, long-term relationships
  • Financial & Analytical Acumen: Advanced ability to analyse market trends, supplier performance, and financial data to drive margin improvement through varied levers
  • Strategic Thinking: Capability to contribute to and implement 3-to-5-year partnership and procurement strategies that align with broader business objectives
  • Stakeholder Influencing: Excellent capabilities in influencing and presenting to senior executive levels (including C-suite) to drive organizational change
  • Connectivity Mastery: Deep understanding of the end-to-end connectivity ecosystem (APIs, Channel Managers, and distribution platforms) within the hospitality industry
  • Agile Leadership: Ability to lead agile practices within a squad, prioritize complex workloads, and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver on commercial outcomes
