The Senior Manager, SME Digital Platforms is accountable for the product roadmap, delivery, and operations of the Qantas Business Rewards digital shopfront and online booking tool, ensuring that Qantas’ loyalty and direct booking platforms are optimised to achieve strategic objectives and revenue targets. This role transforms customer strategy into digital execution by prioritising opportunities, driving customer engagement, and managing the pipeline of work for the design and software engineering teams, as well as external vendors. It also holds responsibility for the day‑to‑day operations of the Qantas Business Rewards eCommerce platform. 

Success in this role requires exceptional strategic thinking, collaboration, and influencing skills, particularly when engaging senior leaders across the Qantas Group. The Manager will independently lead teams, shape product vision, and drive significant commercial outcomes through strong communication, stakeholder alignment, and decisive action. This is a highly visible position responsible for guiding the future direction of Qantas’ digital experience for SME customers and delivering material impact on revenue and market share growth. 

You’ll have – 

  • 8–10+ years’ experience in digital delivery, commercial, sales, or marketing roles, including significant team leadership experience. 
  • 3+ years’ experience working with, and a strong passion for, agile methodologies. 
  • Demonstrated success operating within a large‑scale, complex organisation. 
  • Degree qualified, or equivalent industry, technical, or professional experience. 
  • Strong knowledge of modern digital frameworks and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Design Thinking, Human‑Centred Design), including continuous improvement and test automation. 
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, Confluence) and productivity suites (Microsoft/Google). 
  • Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams, foster collaboration, and communicate strategic vision with strong influence at senior/executive levels. 
  • Experience with data analytics, insights, and financial/performance management, ideally with BI tools such as Adobe Analytics; strong capability in stakeholder engagement, change facilitation, and assessing digital, application, infrastructure, UI/UX, and risk considerations
