Job Description

Jetstar’s success depends on smart decisions, clear insights and strong financial discipline. We’re looking for a Group Head of FP&A and Reporting to lead financial planning, performance reporting and corporate governance across the Jetstar Group. 

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is a key strategic advisor to the Jetstar Executive Team. You’ll own group‑wide FP&A, route profitability, executive reporting and investor‑ready insights, ensuring decisions are backed by robust, forward‑looking analysis.

This is a high‑impact leadership role at the centre of Jetstar’s commercial and operational decision‑making with direct influence on network and investment decisions. The role ensures integration with Qantas Group Finance standards while maintaining the agility and commercial focus required in a low-cost carrier environment. 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Lead group‑wide budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning 
  • Own route profitability and network economics analysis across all Jetstar brands 
  • Deliver executive‑level performance reporting and insights to JET and the Board 
  • Support investor and market reporting in partnership with Qantas Group 
  • Drive project investment and transformation benefits reporting across Jetstar Group 
  • Drive scenario modelling, cost analysis and strategic decision support 
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing FP&A and reporting team and bring strong cross-cultural leadership and the ability to influence 
  • Lead corporate governance including regulatory affairs, audit, risk and tax reporting 

What you’ll bring 

  • Deep experience leading FP&A and performance reporting in large, complex organisations 
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to translate data into executive insights 
  • Understanding of the airline industry's dynamic nature (e.g. volatile fuel prices, competitive capacity changes, and shifting demand patterns) 
  • CA/CPA/CFA/MBA qualification (highly regarded) 
  • Proven leadership capability in fast‑paced, matrix environments 
  • Experience with investor relations and external stakeholder management  
  • Strong corporate governance and risk management reporting skills 
  • Aviation or travel sector experience (desirable, not essential)
