The Global Sales Optimisation Manager - Freight is a senior leadership role within the Australasia Sales & Customer business unit, accountable for sales optimisation outcomes across Australasia while driving a global sales effectiveness agenda across the Freight business. Operating with a strong global support remit, the role sets enterprise‑wide standards that enable consistent, high‑quality sales execution across Australasia, the Americas, UKMEA and Asia. It owns and delivers strategic projects and sales optimisation initiatives that lift productivity, capability and revenue performance, while defining and embedding best‑practice sales methodologies, including sales frameworks, call cycles and operating rhythms, to ensure effective and disciplined execution at scale. 

A critical element of the role is stakeholder management and influence across the organisation. Working closely with senior leaders across Sales, Commercial, Digital, Finance and Operations, the role drives alignment, challenges constructively and ensures adoption of new ways of working within a complex, matrixed environment. It also owns the optimisation of sales platforms and digital enablement, including CRM effectiveness, ensuring tools are fully leveraged to support data‑led decision making and superior commercial outcomes globally. 

You’ll have – 

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior sales leadership or sales enablement role within a complex, commercial environment. 
  • Relevant professional qualification, with tertiary qualifications in Business, Aviation, Commerce or Supply Chain (or equivalent experience). 
  • Advanced stakeholder management capability, with the ability to influence and challenge senior leaders across multiple business units. 
  • Proven experience leading sales teams and driving continuous improvement, change and process optimisation to enable high performance. 
  • Extensive commercial sales experience, with a strong understanding of sales methodologies, frameworks and best‑practice principles. 
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking to identify, select and embed effective sales methodologies and operating models. 
  • Strong track record of delivering results within complex, matrixed business environments. 
  • Deep understanding of CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce), with the ability to translate business needs into actionable system and process improvements.
