Posted date: 04 February 2026

Job Description

  • Lead freight revenue strategy and optimisation across Qantas and Jetstar’s domestic and international networks
  • Drive commercial performance, system improvement and team capability in a high‑impact leadership role
  • Permanent role based at our Mascot Campus

We’ve always been pioneers, and we’re proud to see that spirit in our people today. Our resilience has carried us through good times and challenging ones — and it continues to fuel our drive to push boundaries and exceed expectations.

As Manager, Revenue Management, you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering freight revenue outcomes across all domestic and international markets for both Qantas and Jetstar. This role leads short‑ to medium‑term optimisation while guiding the long‑term evolution of Revenue Management (RM) systems, processes, and capability.

You will set a clear strategic direction, lead a high‑performing team, and work closely with regional sales, network, marketing, and operations stakeholders to ensure alignment, maximise revenue opportunities, and drive sustainable, profitable growth.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver and execute freight revenue strategy, shaping short‑ to medium‑term RM plans and contributing to system and process evolution aligned to business objectives
  • Lead, mentor and empower a diverse team of analysts, route/yield managers and system specialists, embedding a performance‑focused and accountable culture
  • Monitor and analyse KPIs, driving timely revenue and profitability actions, and improving accuracy, consistency and productivity across RM practices
  • Strengthen global engagement by partnering with international and domestic sales teams to ensure alignment and commercial consistency across markets
  • Optimise commercial performance through market trend analysis, pricing and allocation strategies, and identification of innovative revenue opportunities
  • Manage RM systems and tools, ensuring effective configuration, training, capability uplift and continuous improvement
  • Lead business process improvement, driving strategic reviews, change initiatives and system adoption across onshore and offshore teams
  • Partner with Sales to deliver budgeted financial returns, enhancing yield, contributing to financial governance and driving cost optimisation
  • Model Qantas Group behaviours, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing and strong stakeholder relationships

What you’ll bring

  • 8+ years’ experience in commercial, operations management, revenue management, or air freight–related fields
  • Tertiary qualifications in Operations Management, Business, or related disciplines — or substantial air freight industry experience
  • Proven people‑leadership capability, including coaching and developing specialists to enhance analytical capability and decision‑making
  • Strong commercial acumen and industry knowledge across air freight and broader transport sectors
  • Ability to manage RM systems and service providers, and lead change across multiple channels
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to influence outcomes without formal authority
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical and negotiation skills, with an entrepreneurial mindset and resilience in fast‑paced environments
  • A customer‑focused, high‑accountability mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
